Government on track to decarbonise its fleet

The UK government has confirmed that it is on track to decarbonise its central car fleet, having ended 2022 with 25.5% of its cars being ultra-low emission vehicles (ULEV).

Targets set out by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs determined that at least a quarter of the government’s central car fleet must be ULEVs by the end of 2022, a milestone it passed in September 2022.

The government has an overall target to decarbonise its entire central car and van fleet by 2027.
