The BVRLA would like to extend its congratulations to its members for an award that recognises the work between retailers and the police in using their respective resources in the prevention of crime.

The BVRLA’s upcoming Security Webinar , taking place on 18 October in conjunction with Synectics Solutions, will provide practical tips to help members protect their business from fraud.

Murray Raw, Head of Business Development at Synectics will be presenting on the trends in rental customer fraud post-pandemic and how members can mitigate the impact.

Sergeant Paul Fagg from the National Business Crime Centre will be presenting on what early signs the NBCC are seeing that the cost-of-living crisis is impacting criminal activity. Are there new trends in activity involving rental vehicles? And what preventative steps can members take to protect their business.

It is well known that during times when people are struggling financially, they resort to desperate measures and there is an increase in criminal and fraudulent activity. The costs of running a business are on the increase and the BVRLA and Synectics Solutions want to help make sure the costs of fraudulent and activities by criminal customers aren’t also increasing.

The free 45-minute webinar takes place on Tuesday 18 October at 2pm.
