Course helps members implement Consumer Duty

Seventy per cent of attendees from the BVRLA’s recent Consumer Duty Deep Dive Webinars told the association that they need help with implementing Consumer Duty into their business. To help support Leasing Brokerages, the BVRLA has introduced a new course; ‘Implementing the new Consumer Duty in your Brokerage’.

Hayleigh Morris, BVRLA Compliance and Governance Officer said; “The Consumer Duty is at the forefront of the FCA's agenda and it has never been more important to ensure good outcomes for your customers. Attending this BVRLA training course will give you the confidence to move forward with implementation within your business, knowing what needs to be completed, when and by who to ensure successful implementation in time for the prescribed deadlines.”

Upcoming course dates include two that have recently been released due to high demand:

  • 14 December 2022 – Last spaces remaining
  • 7 February 2023
  • 12 April 2023

The course is aimed at small vehicle leasing brokerages and daily rental firms who do some regulated business. It is also suitable for those responsible for compliance in larger firms.

With a tight implementation timeline, the course will introduce a project-planning tool to help you meet the scheduled milestones. Taking some typical products and services in vehicle leasing, the course will help you analyse your fair value assessments and work through examples of relevant narratives for customer understanding. The course will help you map the customer journey with the four outcomes and cross-cutting rules in mind.
