BVRLA Chief Executive Toby Poston and BVRLA Chair Lakshmi Moorthy met with Transport Minister Lillian Greenwood today (6 May) to discuss the sector’s role in supporting road transport decarbonisation.
The meeting, attended by officials from the Department for Transport (DfT) and Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV), covered the industry's response to recent changes to the ZEV Mandate regime, alongside key policy asks including greater support for the used BEV market, more affordable and accessible public charging, and the removal of restrictive regulations for operators using heavier electric vans.
The Minister thanked the sector for its ongoing engagement and praised members' efforts in driving the UK’s transition to zero-emission motoring.
