The BVRLA has bolstered its policy work and government engagement by promoting Thomas McLennan to the new role of Head of Policy and Public Affairs.
Tom joined the BVRLA just over a year ago as a Senior Policy Advisor and has already played a crucial role in helping steer its response to the COVID pandemic and EU Exit. He is now stepping up to take responsibility for all the association’s policy work and its relationships with government officials, regulators and other industry stakeholders.
“Tom has already made a big impression at the BVRLA, getting to grips with a wide range of challenging policy issues and winning the confidence of members,” said BVRLA Director of Corporate Affairs, Toby Poston.
“2021 is going to be another busy year for our policy and public affairs team as they continue to support members in a very uncertain business environment and work with the Government on its ambitious goals for cleaner transport and post-EU regulatory reform.”
The BVRLA will shortly be recruiting for a new Policy and Public Affairs Advisor to join Tom and his colleagues Rachael Hewish and Catherine Bowen.
