Automotive charity BEN reports increase in mental health issues

The automotive industry charity BEN has published its Impact Report 2018/19 which gives an update on its key activities, achievements and milestones during the year.

The report shows that there was a 23% increase in the number of people contacting BEN’s helpline who were eligible for support services. It also shows that over 13,000 people accessed the self-help support on its website.

In the report, mental health is highlighted as the most common reason people contact BEN’s helpline (52% of enquiries, compared to 29% in 2017/18) and counselling sessions for over 400 people were arranged.

The report also thanks BEN’s incredible supporters who have helped automotive industry colleagues. BEN encourage sharing the report with colleagues to help spread the word about the work BEN does for the automotive industry.
