After two successful digital events, the BVRLA’s annual Fleets in Charge Conference is being hosted in person for the first time in London this July.
Offering a mix of presentations, panel discussions and break-out sessions, the conference will open with an address from Transport Minister Trudy Harrison MP, followed by Caroline Low, Director of Transport Decarbonisation at the Department for Transport and Ian Constance, CEO of the Advanced Propulsion Centre UK (APC).
The first panel session will focus on electric vehicle demand, featuring Ian Plummer, Commercial Director at AutoTrader, Ian Hughes, CEO Car & Van division at Zenith and Edmund King, President at The AA.
An EV infrastructure panel will feature Melanie Shufflebotham, COO and co-founder of Zap Map, Andrew Kirkby, Senior Sustainability Manager at BT Openreach and Philip New, Chair of the Electric Vehicle Energy Taskforce (EVET).
The agenda also offers break-out sessions with themes of: New Business Models; Carbon accounting and the ESG agenda; Innovation Zone – looking at top tech and what’s next, and; Second life and beyond – looking at the used market, battery recycling and battery warranties.
The conference will be delivered as a hybrid event, with both in-person and on-line tickets available. Physical tickets are limited and available to buy online now. Digital tickets will be available to buy later this month (May). BVRLA members benefit from a discounted rate.
The event will take place at 1 Birdcage Walk in Westminster, London from 10am to 3.30pm (followed by drinks reception until 5pm) on Thursday 7 July 2022.
The BVRLA would like to thank its Fleets in Charge brand partners, The AA, The Algorithm People, Arval, bp pulse and Zenith for supporting the event.
