UK enters transition period following EU Exit

Having legally left the EU at 11pm on Friday 31 January the UK has entered a transition period due to end on 31 December 2020. During this time, all trading terms and regulations remain unchanged.

Members receiving queries from customers about driving in the EU are reminded that there is no change to the documentation required and customers taking a vehicle abroad will still need a VE103 Vehicle on Hire certificate.

To support members with communications to customers, a suite of printed, digital and social communications material can be downloaded from the Communications Toolkit on the BVRLA website.

This will help to signpost customers to the Taking a vehicle abroad information.

For further reports on progress as trade negotiations are underway, members may find the BVRLA's EU Exit monthly updates of interest.
