Passing of Dame Cheryl Gillan MP

The BVRLA is saddened to hear of the death of Dame Cheryl Gillan MP, who passed away this weekend, aged 68.

As the local Amersham constituency MP, and a strong advocate of the work of the BVRLA and the vehicle rental, leasing and fleet industry, Dame Cheryl was a familiar face at the association’s annual Parliamentary receptions, hosting members and guests at the House of Commons.

Passionate about environmental issues, Dame Cheryl was a founder member of the All-Party Group for London’s Green Belt, and president of the Buckinghamshire Campaign to Protect Rural England.

Condolences and flowers have been sent to her colleagues at the constituency office on behalf of the BVRLA family.
