Automotive charity BEN has launched a new digital mental health and well-being service, offering free online support to those working in the automotive industry.
The ‘SilverCloud’ platform includes programmes on topics such as stress, anxiety and depression, as well as supporting issues such as money worries, sleep and resilience. Each programme features a range of interactive tools such as videos, activities, quizzes, audio guides as well as a personal online support journal.
The charity has seen an increase in the number of individuals asking for support with their mental health with the impact of Covid-19, leading more people to reach out to BEN feeling stressed and anxious, as well as lonely and isolated. Last year, BEN reported a 95% increase in helpline enquiries and the charity supported 56% more people.
Access to BEN’s ‘SilverCloud’ platform is completely free for anyone who currently works, or has previously worked, in the automotive industry and members are encouraged to sign up and share the link with colleagues.
