Members join BVRLA at meeting with MPs

Ahead of the 11 March Budget, MPs attended a BVRLA event hosted in Parliament to hear the association’s concerns on the Plug-in Grant, Company Car Tax and electric vehicle charging infrastructure.

BVRLA members from Zenith, Arval and Lex Autolease helped to push the sector’s message to MPs and the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) and ClientEarth also supported the event.

Following the event, the BVRLA’s concerns were flagged to transport ministers by MPs, in a parliamentary debate.

The BVRLA also met with key officials from the Office for Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV) to press the same points and discuss how the sector can work more closely with officials.

Finally, the association met with the Chancellor’s political adviser to discuss how the BVRLA can work with the Treasury and government to help them deliver their net zero emissions agenda.
