The BVRLA has been joined by over 120 other leading UK businesses, investors and industry bodies to call upon the Government to put climate neutrality by 2050 into legislation.
In an open letter to Prime Minister Theresa May, sent on 31 May 2019, CEOs from across the economy have called for swift action, urging the UK Government to accept the recommendations of the Committee on Climate Change and lead the way by becoming the first major economy to legislate for an ambitious, domestic decarbonisation target that delivers net zero by 2050 at the latest.
