The Government has extended its commitment to the plug-in van grant at the current rate of 20% of the purchase price of eligible vans, up to a maximum grant amount of £8,000.
It has made additional funds available for a limited number of heavier plug-in commercial vehicles.
The first 200 eligible heavier (over 3.5t) vans or trucks will receive a maximum grant amount of up to £20,000.
The grant will be maintained at the current rate until at least April 2019 when a further announcement will be made. It is expected to continue in some form until at least 2020.
