Getting to grips with ESG

The BVRLA’s inaugural ESG Working Group took place in the association’s Amersham offices yesterday (26 February), with participants hearing from ESG expert, Ben Horn of Omnevue.

ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) is a complex, broad and potentially over-whelming subject, covering a vast expanse of issues and is evolving at pace. Members are increasingly having to report their progress to funders, clients and supply chain partners.

The group concluded that going forward, the BVRLA’s ESG activities should be targeted at providing practical support with implementation issues and arguing for proportionate and workable rules and regulations.

Members interested in getting involved in either the implementation or policy aspects of ESG – and not already part of the Working Group – should contact [email protected] to discuss further.

Future meetings will include the opportunity to attend via Teams.

See the BVRLA’s Working Groups page for details of all the association’s Working Groups.
