Taking place in London, the day-long event on Thursday 7 July will feature leading policymakers and electric vehicle champions discussing how the fleet sector is driving the UK’s decarbonisation plans.

Online live-stream or digital tickets (£99, or £49 to BVRLA members) will give delegates the chance to join all morning sessions, as well as two of the four afternoon breakouts. They will have the ability to submit questions to the panellists in real time, while also having access to a virtual networking space to engage with like-minded professionals between sessions.

Chaired by Peter Campbell, global motor industry correspondent for the Financial Times, the morning programme opens with ‘The Big Picture’ from Transport Minister Trudy Harrison MP, Bob Moran and Caroline Low of the Department for Transport, and Ian Constance from the Advanced Propulsion Centre. That will be followed by ‘The Journey to Zero Emission Fleets’, comprising of three expert panels to look at vehicle demand, supply, and infrastructure in turn.

After a break for lunch, digital delegates will be able to join two breakout sessions: ‘The New Normal – Explaining Emerging Business Models’, and ‘Innovation Zone – What's next for the industry?’ In those sessions, the audience will hear from a plethora of suppliers and experts, spanning topics varying from hydrogen and truck conversion, through to EV subscriptions and trucking as a service.

BVRLA Chief Executive, Gerry Keaney, said: “This conference embraces the role the fleet industry is playing in driving road transport decarbonisation, as well as our collective responsibility in continuing that journey. Our guest speakers are the architects drawing up the blueprints for the 2030 phase-out and will share key insights for fleet operators and mobility providers.”

Official partners for Fleets in Charge in 2022 are The AA, The Algorithm People, Arval UK, bp pulse and Zenith. All ticket types are available to buy online now, with BVRLA members benefiting from a discounted rate.
