DVSA advises ‘Beat the Rush’ with MOTs

The Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency has launched a ‘Beat the Rush’ campaign to coincide with the end of temporary MOT exemptions imposed during lockdown.

The campaign aims to encourage those with a vehicle due for an MOT in autumn to get it booked during August, when demand is likely to be much lower.

The DVSA is concerned that if drivers wait until October and November, when demand is expected to be very high, there will be a back log.

The Government has produced a suite of communications materials to help business to get the message to customers. Members can download the material from the GOV.UK website.
