Demand for VE103B set to rise as travel restrictions ease

The BVRLA is asking members to remind customers of the importance of having the right documentation, including a VE103B, when taking a rented or leased vehicle abroad.

With the summer holidays approaching and the need for self-isolation being removed for those double-vaccinated travellers returning from amber list countries from 19 July, there is likely to be an increase in holidaymakers taking vehicles abroad.

Now that the UK is outside of the EU, border checks will be more thorough and having the correct documentation for vehicles will be key to ensuring a smooth border-crossing.

The VE103B is the only legally recognised alternative to cover the requirement to carry the registration document when travelling abroad.

Members can place an order for VE103B certificates as either single forms or multiples via the BVRLA website.

The BVRLA has produced a communications toolkit containing a suite of social, digital and printed communications to help members to inform customers of requirements when Taking a Vehicle Abroad. These can be cobranded free of charge.
