Bon VoyCharge campaign goes to Scottish Parliament

The BVRLA met with senior representatives from Scottish government last week, as part of a dual event to raise awareness of the issues associated with destination charging and discuss the available solutions. Across a roundtable meeting and networking reception, supporters of the Bon VoyCharge campaign met with Fiona Hyslop, the Scottish Cabinet Secretary for Transport, and her colleagues from Transport Scotland and other MSPs interested in the topic.

BVRLA members Arnold Clark, Enterprise Mobility, Europcar Mobility Group and Hertz joined the discussion about the importance of destination charging in providing affordable, reliable and accessible infrastructure for the millions of motorists that want to explore Scotland.

Suggestions were also made about the need to work with Distribution Network Operators (DNOs), Charge Point Operators (CPOs) and local authorities to improve infrastructure in airports.

The BVRLA and partners will further the conversation in Westminster on Tuesday evening (9 September) with a Parliamentary Reception in the House of Commons.
