Transport for London has confirmed that due to unprecedented demand and limited funding, it has suspended the Scrappage Scheme for heavy goods vehicles and new applications are not being accepted.
For those operators who have already applied to the Scheme, TfL will contact them to provide the outcome of their application and advise them whether they're eligible for a grant payment, subject to funds being available.
If any operator has received a confirmation of eligibility letter from TfL, they can continue to scrap their vehicle and submit evidence to claim their grant payment. They should note that TfL will not be liable for any costs they incur if they decide to scrap or retrofit vehicles prior to receiving the relevant correspondence.
