BVRLA members can now access a wide range of insights and operational tips, via a dedicated podcast series to support day-to-day operations and protect their business. Produced in partnership with United Rental Group, the “Rental Matters” series will expand over the coming weeks and explore topics including insurance, marketing, vehicle security, and available support via the United and BVRLA teams.
All episodes are free-to-access via “The Inside Track” feed from the BVRLA. The first episode takes a deep dive into how to keep stock, sites, and staff safe. Adam Forshaw is joined by the BVRLA’s Head of Membership Greg Theaker, and Ahron Tolley, Director at W4G Asset Solutions.
Ahron has been in the vehicle rental and vehicle security space for a decade, having previously spent 15 years as part of the police force. Across major rental companies and suppliers to the sector, his focus has consistently been on protecting vehicles and returning them to their rightful owner if stolen.
Across the episode “Are You Doing Enough to Protect Your Fleet?” Ahron draws on that experience to look at what rental companies of all sizes should be considering to protect themselves. He shares real-world examples of where it can be done well, and what goes wrong if things are overlooked.
Beyond sharing practical tips on how to reduce the risks, Ahron also outlines what to do if the operator does fall victim to fraudulent activity.
The first episode of the Rental Matters series is available now via the below links. More episodes will be launched in the coming weeks. Members are encouraged to subscribe to The Inside Track feed via their preferred channel in order to be the first to access upcoming episodes.
