Your views: Financial Ombudsman Service launches consultation

The Financial Ombudsman Service has launched a public consultation on its strategic plans and budget for 2019/2020.

In the consultation document, the dispute resolution service has highlighted some of the trends and areas it has seen a growth in complaints. It has also set out a number of questions on which it is seeking the views of stakeholders.

These include:

  • What’s your perspective on the trends we’ve highlighted?
  • Are there other trends you’re seeing, or any insights you have, that you think we should take into account in our plans?
  • What do you think about our projections for the volumes of complaints we’ll see up to 31 March 2019?

The BVRLA will formally respond to the consultation which closes on 31 January 2019.

The consultation can be read in full via the Financial Ombudsman Service website.

Members are invited to share their views with Senior Policy Advisor, Jinmi Macaulay.
