Used BEV strategy is focus of next RVR Forum

The BVRLA’s Residual Value and Remarketing Forum is taking place this Thursday 11 February and will explore the used electric vehicle market and the need for used EV incentives.

Delegates will hear from AutoTrader, Cinch, Indicata, Kinto UK and Neil Smith who will share their thoughts and insights on current market conditions, consumer trends, challenges and what is driving demand.

BVRLA members can also help to shape the used Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV) strategy in a breakout session.

It is estimated that around 80% of all new BEVs are being sold to a BVRLA member. This poses an important question about whether the market is ready to absorb the influx in nearly new, second hand BEVs that will come to market in the next few years and at a time when the price for new BEVs is expected to have significantly decreased.

The BVRLA is working with policymakers from across Government and has been pushing for the Government to implement a used BEV strategy which will give its members the confidence needed so they can drive BEV adoption.
