Rental Operator Skills supports all colleagues

The BVRLA’s new online version of the Certificate in Vehicle Rental Operator Skills is open to all delegates in November 2020.

The rental sector has been hit hard by the coronavirus pandemic and the decline in leisure business, which has led to large-scale redundancies and furloughing across the sector. Accreditation and personal development is vital and the BVRLA will be supporting those affected with a special concession on a case by case basis.

This Certificate, which is accredited by the Institute of Motor Industry, demonstrates a recognised level of knowledge, skills and understanding of best practice within the vehicle rental sector. It has been designed for rental agents and managers in daily rental and light commercial vehicle rental locations.

The five key areas of understanding reinforce the candidates existing knowledge of vehicle rental operations. These are split across five papers: General Vehicle Rental Operator Skills, Insurance Practice, Tariff Interpretation, Overseas Hire and Hirers and Light Commercial Vehicles.

Whilst completing the accreditation, the learner will be supported with an instructor-led online refresher session prior to their multiple-choice online examination papers.
