The BVRLA has written to new Transport, Treasury and Business ministers following the recent reshuffle, setting out how the association can help the government to tackle decarbonisation.
Grant Shapps MP remains in Cabinet with overall responsibility for Transport as the Department’s Secretary of State and he also takes up a new responsibility for Northern Powerhouse.
Other key ministers for the BVRLA at the Department for Transport are:
- Rachel Maclean MP, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State who has Future of Transport, transport decarbonisation, and EU transition in her portfolio.
- Baroness Vere, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State who retains responsibility for roads and also has buses and taxis, light rail, and devolution in her portfolio.
- Kelly Tolhurst MP, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State who will be responsible for aviation, maritime, freeports, and security.
