Transport for Greater Manchester is inviting feedback from members on its clean air proposals before the consultation period closes on Sunday 30 June.
Proposals include:
- A Greater Manchester-wide Clean Air Zone imposing penalties on the most polluting buses, coaches, HGVs, vans, taxis and private hire vehicles entering the zone.
- A multi-million-pound funding package to support local businesses and sole traders to upgrade to cleaner vehicles.
- Trebling the number of electric vehicle public charge points.
More information is available via a dedicated clean air website and members can respond to the online survey any time before midnight on 30 June.
