DVLA responds to industry request for fleet-friendly services

The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency has agreed to consider new electronic solutions for fleets that are struggling with its inefficient paper-based services.

In a meeting last week, DVLA officials asked the BVRLA to obtain member views on the kind of bulk, electronic services that it should prioritise for fleets. The association has a long track record of lobbying the DVLA to digitise its services, including:

  • An electronic payment solution for eliminating VED refund cheques
  • Bulk SORN/Disposal notifications
  • An Improved cherished transfer process
  • “One stop shop” access to DVLA and DVSA fleet information

The BVRLA will be contacting members shortly for information to support these requests.

If you would like to be involved, contact BVRLA Director of Fleet Services Amanda Brandon.
