The BVRLA met with Lord Grimstone last week. As Minister for Investment across the Department for International Tade and the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS), he is focused on helping the UK automotive supply chain to thrive and decarbonise after Brexit.
In the discussions, the BVRLA stressed the importance of the fleet sector and the many pressures that Covid-19 and decarbonisation have created. It also urged the Minister to work with the BVRLA and other representatives from the automotive ‘end-user’ community when developing industrial strategy.
