Course Description

 
Assessing the condition of a vehicle at the end of a lease or rental is fundamental to BVRLA members' business proposition.  This is a one day industry specific programme designed to teach industry professionals about the the concept of fair, wear and tear on vehicles that are returned at the end of a lease or rental. The 'BVRLA Fair Wear and Tear Standards' and BVRLA's Code of Conduct are explained in the context of what customers have a right to expect at the end of a rental, lease or finance agreement.

Course Programme:
Designed by the BVRLA with the assistance of industry experts, and delivered by Manheim Inspection Services, the course aims to:
  • Understand what customers have a right to expect when a vehicle is returned to a BVRLA member after a lease or rental;
  • Develop an understanding of the BVRLA Fair Wear & Tear Standards;
  • Give staff confidence to professionally communicate with drivers, customers and fleet managers on return standards;
  • Practically inspect internally and externally a vehicle using the guidelines, with a standardised approach;
  • Identify potential repair methods available and their correct selection;
