The electric vehicle revolution is in full swing. 2020 saw electric vehicle adoption reach new highs, with battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) accounting for over 10% of all new vehicle purchases in the UK. Alongside the Government’s ambitious targets to phase out the sale of petrol and diesel vehicles by 2030, this trend looks likely to increase exponentially in the coming years.
BVRLA member’s fleets are leading the charge in this revolution, and our ‘Plug-in Pledge’ will see the sector registering 400,000 BEVs per year by 2025, making it responsible for 80% of new battery electric car and van sales.
The BVRLA is here to support all members respond to these changes. This hub brings together everything you need to know about electric vehicle adoption in the fleet industry, from the very latest expert opinions in our blogs, webinars and training, our efforts to influence government policy at the highest levels, to cutting edge insights from both our own research and the most influential organisations in the sector.
