Expand the knowledge of your rental office staff or let them demonstrate to you just how good they are in their roles by sitting this exam. It is an excellent way to reinforce best practice and legislative / regulative knowledge and understanding, whilst at the same time creating a pool of qualified staff, each holding a nationally recognised award which has been proven to win the respect of customers and colleagues alike.

Think how much more confident your customers will feel about using you…other companies have jumped on board so don’t get left behind.

What's it all about?

There are five exam papers, each designed to test your knowledge of different areas of vehicle rental operations according to rental best practice.

To receive the award you must pass papers one and two (General Vehicle Rental Operations and Insurance Practice) and one or more of the remaining three papers (Tariff Interpretation, Overseas Hire and Hirers, Light Commercial Vehicles, including minibuses). All exam papers are sat over the course of one day with breaks in between.

Who should participate?

These exams are open to all levels of staff including Managers who can use these exams as a quick and useful way to gain the respect that they and their staff deserve and Rental Agents who can also take the opportunity to further their professional development by demonstrating business skills and regulatory knowledge by sitting these multiple-choice exams.

How many people sit the exams?

Over 100 rental operators sit the exam a year. The exams have been running for many years and are deemed an excellent way of gaining a nationally recognised qualification at a reasonable cost.

How much do the exams cost?

Currently the price is £98.

How can I apply?

The exams run once a year - applications to be made by downloading the application form here.
