Qualifications

Qualifications provide a fantastic incentive for people to undertake professional training, and qualified staff make a positive impact in whatever part of an organisation they work. They improve an employee's industry-specific skills and provide them with a third-party benchmark that demonstrates their expertise.

The BVRLA provides three different qualifications covering both the leasing and rental sectors:

City & Guilds rental operator skills certificate

This nationally-recognised daily rental qualification is awarded to staff who can demonstrate a full range of rental knowledge and service skills. Read more

Certificate in Fleet Consultancy

Designed to align the rental / leasing sales function much more closely with the role, responsibilities and requirements of a typical fleet manager, successful participants gain a professional qualification which has been externally accredited by the Institute of Leadership and Management. Technical services advisor performance standards

The BVRLA offers the ATA (automotive technician accreditation) Technical Customer Service Advisor (Rental & Leasing) programme to those working in technical services departments within our industry.Read more

Funding Available For BVRLA Training

BVRLA members with businesses in Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Milton Keynes, Oxfordshire and parts of Kent, Surrey and Hampshire may benefit from Skills South East's offer to fund leadership and management training.

Direct grants of up to £500 plus matched funding grants for a further £500 are available for applications that meet certain criteria – for example, the number of employees in the applicant business must be between 5 and 250. The grants can be used for training programmes such as the BVRLA's Certificate in Fleet Consultancy.
